Enough. Enough with Antonio Brown already.
The scale and depth of the non-stop Brown coverage has become the equivalent of astronauts landing on the moon or a peace accord in the Middle East, or both. Instead, we get in-depth analysis of a uber-diva cautionary tale chop-blocking actual news.
If this was the middle of July, when the sports content machine goes idle, obsessing over someone like Brown might make sense. But it’s September. The NFL opened its new season with its greatest rivalry on the national stage and 15 more games will be here shortly. College football is in its third weekend, with a core group of intriguing matchups. Baseball is in, well, September. There’s a lot to talk about.
So, please, Sports Media, talk about those other things. Set aside the antics of an overhyped attention-seeker playing for a bumbling franchise and tell us about the real news. Please.
